The restaurant
Cooked when you order it.
There is no buffet. Everything on the menu is cooked to order, which is slower and better, and it means a kitchen that can accommodate almost anything if you tell us in advance.
The Kashmiri side of the menu is the reason to eat here rather than anywhere else — rogan josh, yakhni, gustaba and rista, tabak maaz, and nadru from the lake when it is in season. Alongside it runs the Indian and Continental cooking people expect, and a breakfast served between eight and ten.
Full wazwan
The traditional feast, prepared on request. Tell us well ahead — it is not a dish, it is an afternoon's work.
Any dietary need
Vegetarian, vegan, Jain, allergies. Cooking to order means we can usually say yes; mention it when you book.
Where you eat
The restaurant, the terrace, or in your cottage. Room service runs through the day.

The menu
119 dishes, and the kitchen will go off-menu
Prices in rupees, exclusive of taxes. Seasonal dishes depend on what the lake and the market have.
